Romantismo ou alucinação?!
Em visita a mostra em cartaz no Museu Assis Chateaubriand -Masp, Romantismo: a arte do entusiasmo, algumas questões me fascinaram, outras me intrigaram.
Primeiro há que se destacar a beleza, coerência e precisão desta mostra, com artistas que vão de Turner a Tomie Ohtake, de van Gogh a Flavio de Carvalho.
Mas o que me levou a pensar foi o texto do curador Teixeira Coelho quando logo da abertura da exposição apresenta em seu texto a natureza, o corpo, as paixões, a paisagem urbano e o imaginário, como temas que além de nortearem o romantismo também caros a prática contemporânea.
Será que realmente a prática contemporânea é embebida de romantismo, ou, emaranhada em um simulacro, esta transformou os ideais românticos em rastros esquizofrênicos de alucinação?
